Oceanfront Bungalows

At Rancho Buena Vista, all of our rooms are within steps from the calm waters of the Sea of Cortez.  Each room is a haven for peace and comfort, with luscious beds for a perfect night's sleep, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, and soothing showers. 

To ensure a serene experience, no televisions or phones are in place to disturb you.  When on vacation, there is nothing worse than a ringing phone.  All of our rooms have stand-up Showers, air-conditioning and outside seating.  And all of our rooms are within crawling distance of our resort-wide free WiFi.

Deluxe Bungalows

Our Deluxe Bungalows are our most luxurious rooms. No, you won't find any caviar here, and these are old bones in this hotel, but what makes these rooms luxurious is their proximity to the beach and bar/restaurant, the overall room size, the beds (2 queens), and the views.  What's different about a Deluxe Bungalow?  Each Deluxe Bungalow has (in addition to what every room has) the following:

Ocean View Rooms

Our Ocean View Rooms are also known as "The Arches."  Why?  Well, they are in a separate building that has an arched design to it.  Each of these rooms has a fantastic view of the Sea of Cortez, and they are a favorite amongst our longtime travelers.  What's different about an Ocean View Room?

Garden View Rooms 

Our Garden View Rooms are great rooms that are on our main campus.  Why are these our lowest priced rooms?  Well, we do not guarantee Queen Beds in these rooms.  Some of these rooms are small and can only accommodate double beds.  And not all of these rooms have views to the Sea of Cortez.  However, they are still within steps of the water, and are great rooms.

Unique Rooms

Priced at our Deluxe Rates, we also have 3 unique rooms available for our guests. 

Suite A -  Our largest room has large bay windows jutting out into the beach and is closest to the Sea of Cortez.  Also known as the Honeymoon Suite for obvious reasons!

Suite B - Upstairs from Suite A, Suite B features a small deck overlooking the Sea of Cortez.  This room has 2 queen beds in separate rooms and is a favorite of travelers looking for something unique.

Casa Cannon - Casa Cannon is a stand-alone home originally built for the legendary Ray Cannon (the Hemingway of Baja).  This house has a large gathering area and 7 beds.  It's a favorite for small groups looking to stay in the same place.  Plus it is right on the water.

Room Rates and Notes

Our room rates differ based on the time of year when our guests are visiting the resort and the number of guests per room.  We price our rooms based on double occupancy, and our rates include 3 meals per day. 

Seasonal Rate Differences

We have two different seasons, our high-season (March 29 through November 19, 2010) when fishing is at its peak and the weather is perfect for any adventure, and our windy-season (November 20, 2010 - March 27, 2011) when the El Norte winds blow and the area is transformed into a paradise for windsurfers and kite-boarders, and the mountainbiking/hiking adventurors. 

Rates Include 3 Meals Daily

Our room rates include everything involved in your day, assuming all you are doing is reading by the pool and drinking water!  We cover your rooms, your breakfast, your lunch, and your dinner.  We don't include any bar drinks and we don't include your chosen activities. 

Automatic Upgrade

If you are staying at Rancho Buena Vista and an upgraded room is available, you'll automatically get it.  If "automatically" doesn't work, be sure to ask the front desk (sometimes our automatic switch isn't working right!).

Discounted Rates for Children under 16

Our basic rates listed below assume occupancy by adults 16 and older.  Discounted rates apply for children aged 11-15 and children aged 6-10.  Children 5 and under stay free at Rancho Buena Vista.
